Today was a bittersweet day for our little Daisy troop. Actually it was a big day because.....we bridged to Brownies!
Here is one last look at our troop as Daisies.
We started off by saying the Pledge of Allegiance and the Girl Scout Promise.
Each girl got to share their favorite thing about Daisies and then give their moms a plant that they planted in a pot that they painted. The tag attached said "Thanks for helping me grow as a Daisy."
We really do have a fabulous group of girls. And they are all coming and moving up to Brownies with us!
We had two older Brownie friends that read a script about baking Brownies. It was totally cute.
They mixed together all kinds of kindness, respect, responsibility, and sisterhood.
And when the timer went off, the Brownies were baked! Yes, our girls crawled out of an oven. It was darling.
They all received a bridging packet that contained a certificare, their membership pin, and some bridging patches.
Holly and I can;t believe it's been two years already!
Me and my little Brownie.
Brownie BFF's.
And a girl who is excited to one day be a Brownie.
We gave our girls some nice gifts. Besides the bridging packet, they each got a t-shirt that we made at our last meeting. It's like daisy of everyone's handprints. 12 different colors for our 12 different girls.
We also tried having the girls lay like a daisy and take a picture. We put them in frames and decorated them up with our troop number.
And because the girls are now Brownies, what more appropriate gift than actual Brownies?
We also enjoyed some baked brownies after our ceremony.
Congrats girls! We are looking forward to our journey in Brownies!
