Last Brownie Meeting!

Ok, so last week was out last Brownie meeting not only for the year, but as Brownies! Sniff, sniff.
We had to get ready for our bridging ceremony coming up so we had to practice our flag ceremony.  We had never done one ourselves so we needed to practice.  We have an opening and closing one.

We practiced reading a poem that we will be saying too.

Then we had the girls make scrapbooks.  We got pictures dating all the way back to when we first started Daisies 4 years ago!  They have changed so much!

The girls had fun looking and talking about old times and making the books.

We will give these to them at bridging.

Here they are with their final products!

So proud of these girls!

Horseback Riding!

For a long time, the girls have been wanting to go horseback riding....so today we finally went!
We went to the Normantown Equestrian Center.  The girls first learned a little bit about horses first such as what they look like when they are feeling happy, mad, worried, sleepy, etc.

Then we learned about how to groom a horse and all the tools you use to do that.

The girls got put in groups and they got to practice grooming their horses.

Then after all they all had a chance to groom and pet the horses, it was time to saddle them up.

Then while we took turns riding them, we got to explore the barn and pet some of the horses.

I tried to get a picture of all the girls on a horse ride.

Here is Emmaline.

Hiking!

Yesterday we earned our hiker patch by going on hike! We have a nice little trail by our library so that's where we went.  We had trail mix as a snack and a scavenger hunt too.  We were off!

It ended being a beautiful day for a hike.

The girls had fun collecting items on their scavenger hunt.  We even found parts of a snake!

The trail was very nice and even had a couple of bridges on it.

The girls thought that every time they saw a bench, it was time to rest.

But we did find a lake and the girls had fun skipping stones.

Eventually we made it back.  I think we wore them out!
