Christmas Caroling!

This year we finally got our chance to go Christmas caroling! We tried last year but it rained so hard that we had to cancel. This year we did it inside at the Wesmere Clubhouse.  It was during their Santa visit and each of the troops at Wesmere chose a time slot and sang.  We joined with the my Daisy troop too.  The girls did a great job.  We sang some classic songs and also some songs from the Christmas program we just had at school.  I think some of the girls were disappointed that a lot of people weren't really listening to them but there was a lot of activity going on.  I think they did a fabulous job and put the Christmas spirit in the air with their songs!

Christmas Party!

Our last meeting before Christmas we had a little holiday party! First, we painted ornaments!

Then we took waffle cones and turned them upside down to turn them into a Christmas tree snack!

We turned the frosting green and had all kinds of toppings that were like ornaments!

Look how cute Olivia's tree turned out!

Emmaline did a great job too!

Then we split into teams and wrapped each other up like a Christmas tree.  The first team to use their whole roll of green crepe paper and put their bows in the tree would be the winner!

We also sang some Christmas carols as we did go Christmas caroling.
It was a fun party!

The girls also received their patches that we have earned so far this year and we made is special by putting them on Christmas trees!

Big Frog and Coldstone!

We took a little field trip for one of our last meetings to go to Big Frog Shirts. There, the girls get to design a troop shirt! The girls voted on a design that they wanted to do and chose a really cute cookie coloring book style picture. The girls got to choose the color shirt they wanted.

And then they got busy coloring their design that would be put on their shirt.

Once the girls started finishing up, they got to see how their shirts were going to be made.

It's all done through a computer now and it's pretty neat.

After that and while they were making the rest of our shirts, we went a few doors down to Coldstone where we got to see how they make ice cream!

We got to go in the back and see how they make cakes and things too.

We got to check out the freezer where all the ice cream is stored!

Then it was time to make our own sundaes!  Yum!

The girls thought it was cool that they got to choose their own flavor and toppings and mix it on the cold stone!

But I think the best part was eating it!

By the time we were done eating, they came down with our shirts.  So we tried them on and took a pic!

They all turned out super cute and now we can wear them when we sell Girl Scout cookies!

Tree Trimming!

Right before Thanksgiving, we had a tree trimming activity at school where we decorate our school's Christmas tree!  The older troops kind of run the show and there are stations set up with games, cookies, and hanging ornaments.
The girls had fun playing the game where you have to wrap up someone like a snowman.

We played some other games too.

This one was another teamwork game where they had to get the hula hoops around the circle.

Finally it was our time to hang our ornaments on the tree.

This year we made ugly sweater ornaments.

After we hung our ornaments, we got to decorate some yummy cookies!

Simple heart cookies turned into Santas!

We played one last game before calling it a night.

Here's all the Wesmere Girl Scouts with our beautiful tree!
