Yesterday was World Thinking Day! It's a day to remember and think about Girl Scouts all over the world. We participated in this event last year but we kept it small and did it only with the girls in our school. We were going to do that this year and even picked out our country.....but unfortunately it got cancelled so we opted to tour the countries at the service unit function.
Only about half of our troop came as it was a busy weekend for everyone. There were lots of countries to visit and we learned some neat facts, saw pictures of scouts in those countries, tasted some food from the countries, got SWAPS, and even played a few games!
We visited Canada.
Brazil.
India.
Ghana.
France.
Ireland.
Japan.
We stopped to eat our fortune cookies from Japan.
Germany.
China.
WE played a game at Poland.
Italy. They even served pasta here!
Mexico.
And New Zealand.
We played a game here too.
I think the girls had a lot of fun! Next year we hope do be able to be a bigger part of this event!
